Do guests need to download an app?

No. Guests participate entirely through their web browser. They scan a QR code or tap an invite link, enter their name, and start taking photos. The app is optional — it provides an enhanced experience with camera filters and zoom, but it's never required to contribute or view photos.

Do guests need to create an account?

Accepted Answer

No account is required for guests. The only information a guest provides is a display name (and optionally a profile picture). If a guest later wants to keep a history of events they've attended, they can optionally create an account and link their guest records to it — but this is entirely optional.

How does pricing work?

You pay per event, not a subscription. Choose one of four packages based on your guest count — Pocket (up to 15 guests), Classic (up to 30), Deluxe (up to 60), or Boundless (unlimited guests). Every package includes unlimited photos and videos and 12 months of hosting. You see the exact price before you pay — no hidden fees.

Can I extend the availability period after the event?

Yes. If your event's availability period is ending and you want to keep the album accessible, you can extend it with a separate payment. Extensions are always an explicit purchase — we never auto-renew or charge you without your action.

What happens to photos after the availability period ends?

After the availability period ends, the album is no longer accessible to guests. The event owner retains access to manage the event throughout the availability period. We recommend downloading any photos you want to keep before the period ends. Owners can extend the period at any time.

Is my event private?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Each event has its own unique QR code and join link. Only people with the code or link can join the event. Photos are never public — they're only visible to guests who have joined the event. The owner can regenerate the join code at any time to stop new guests from joining.

Which devices work with Allbum?

Allbum works on any device with a modern web browser — iPhone, Android, iPad, tablets, and desktop computers. The guest experience is optimized for mobile (where most photos are taken), but the gallery and downloads work great on larger screens too.

Can guests take videos too?

Accepted Answer

Not currently. Allbum supports photos only for now — guests take photos with the in-app camera and download them in full resolution. Video support may be added in a future update.

What photo quality can I expect?

Photos are captured and stored at full device resolution — no compression or quality reduction. When you download a photo, you get the original full-resolution file. The gallery uses optimized variants for fast loading, but originals are always available for download.

How do I invite guests?

You can invite guests through multiple channels: display a QR code at the venue, send the link via email, SMS, or WhatsApp, or share it on social media. All channels use the same join code, so it doesn't matter how a guest arrives — they all end up in the same album.

Can I organize photos by session?

Accepted Answer

Yes. When you create an event, you can define sessions with names and time ranges (e.g., 'Ceremony 4-5 PM', 'Reception 6-10 PM'). When a guest takes a photo, the system suggests the current session based on the time — the guest can confirm or change it with one tap.

What payment methods do you accept?

Accepted Answer

Payments are handled by Paddle, our Merchant of Record, using the payment methods Paddle makes available — all major credit and debit cards, plus local options depending on your region. The price is shown in your local currency where supported. Payment is required once per event to unlock invitations, QR codes, and the full gallery experience.
