Do guests need to download an app?

No. Guests participate through their web browser. They scan a QR code or tap an invite link, enter their name, and start capturing photos and videos from their phones. No app download is required to contribute, browse the album, or download their favorites.

Do guests need to create an account?

Accepted Answer

No account is required for guests. The only information a guest provides is a display name (and optionally a profile picture). If a guest later wants to keep a history of events they've attended, they can optionally create an account and link their guest records to it — but this is entirely optional.

How does pricing work?

Accepted Answer

Each event uses one package, paid once. Starter is free for up to five guests, 25 combined photos and videos, and 45 days of gallery access; paid packages add more guests, unlimited media, and 12 months of availability. Choose the size that covers your event upfront — when a Starter event hits its limits, guests can't join or upload until you upgrade. Paid prices are shown before checkout; there are no subscriptions or recurring fees.

Can I extend the availability period after the event?

Yes. If your event's availability period is ending and you want to keep the album accessible, you can extend it with a separate payment. An extension only keeps the existing album viewable and downloadable — it doesn't add guests or uploads to an event that already happened. Extensions are always an explicit purchase — we never auto-renew or charge you without your action.

What happens to photos after the availability period ends?

After the availability period ends, the album is no longer accessible to guests. The event owner retains access to manage the event throughout the availability period. We recommend downloading any photos you want to keep before the period ends. Owners can extend the period at any time.

Is my event private?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Each event has its own unique QR code and join link. Only people with the code or link can join the event. Photos are never public — they're only visible to guests who have joined the event. The owner can regenerate the join code at any time to stop new guests from joining.

Which devices work with Allbum?

Accepted Answer

Allbum works on any device with a modern web browser — iPhone, Android, iPad, tablets, and desktop computers. The guest experience is optimized for mobile (where most photos are taken), but the gallery and downloads work great on larger screens too.

Can guests take videos too?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Guests can capture photos and videos from their phones and share them in the same event album. Each video can be up to 2 minutes long. Photos and videos can be viewed, downloaded, and shown automatically on connected displays.

Can I show event photos and videos on TVs or other displays?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Connect a TV, tablet, or another device with a compatible web browser to your event. Open allbum.me/tv on that device, then enter the pairing code in your event's display settings as the owner. Once connected, photos and videos appear automatically as guests share them — no need to refresh or pass a phone around.

Can I download photos and videos?

Yes. Photos and videos stay in the gallery for the event's availability period, and guests and owners can download their favorites. Download the memories you want to keep before the availability period ends.

How do I invite guests?

Accepted Answer

You can invite guests through multiple channels: display a QR code at the venue, send the link via email, SMS, or WhatsApp, or share it on social media. All channels use the same join code, so it doesn't matter how a guest arrives — they all end up in the same album.

Can I organize photos by session?

Accepted Answer

Yes. When you create an event, you can define sessions with names and time ranges (e.g., 'Ceremony 4-5 PM', 'Reception 6-10 PM'). When a guest takes a photo, the system suggests the current session based on the time — the guest can confirm or change it with one tap.

What payment methods do you accept?

Accepted Answer

Payments are handled by Paddle, our Merchant of Record, using the payment methods Paddle makes available — all major credit and debit cards, plus local options depending on your region. The price is shown in your local currency where supported. Payment is required once per event to unlock invitations, QR codes, and the full gallery experience.
